Bar Examination Fees

The Exam Application Fee is $550.00 for both original or re-examination applications. Because application forms are periodically revised, applicants are encouraged to wait to submit their applications and fees until three months prior to the applicable filing deadline.

Late Fees

Applications for the February and July bar examinations may be submitted to the Committee after the original filing deadline, see filing dates.  Any application filed after the original filing deadlines of November 1st for the February examination or February 1st for the July examination will incur an additional late filing fee.  Any application filed after these dates will incur an additional late filing fee of $750.00.  The late filing fee is in addition to the application fees and NCBE Character and Fitness fees.

Any applicant applying for either the February or July examinations, who was enrolled in one of the ABA accredited law schools located in Louisiana, but did not participate in the law student registration program during the fall semester of the second academic year of law school will incur a late law student registration fee of $200.00.
