The February 2022 bar examination will be administered in person on February 21, 23, 25. Pursuant to La. Supreme Court Rule XVII Section 7, the written examination will test nine subject areas which include 1)Civil Code 2)Civil Code II 3)Civil Code III 4)Louisiana Code of Civil Procedure 5)Torts 6)Business Entities 7)Constitutional Law 8)Criminal Law, Procedure and Evidence and 9) Federal Jurisprudence and Procedure. The Committee will announce COVID protocols prior to the examination. Applicants should refer to the scope statements contained under The Bar Exam tab located on the Committee’s website for information concerning matter tested in each subject. Applicants should also refer to LA. Supreme Court Rule XVII Section 4 for applicable deadline periods.

Due to Hurricane Ida, the law student registration filing deadline has been extended from October 1, 2021 to October 15, 2021. The extension applies only to the 2021 law student registration filing period. The Committee will post the official order issued by the court once released.
